What’s Included in a Certified Boundary Survey?

• Certified Survey Drawing: A detailed drawing of the surveyed boundary is prepared, documenting all measurements, monuments, and property lines.

• High-Quality Boundary Marking: NJR Land Surveying, LLC uses 5/8-inch diameter by 24-inch long rebar with a durable plastic cap bearing the surveyor’s identification number to mark each boundary corner. This provides a stronger, more durable monument than the minimum standard required by law (½-inch by 18-inch rebar) If an existing monument is found in the correct location, it is used instead. Alternative boundary markers are available upon request to meet specific project needs.

• Official Recording: The certified survey drawing is recorded with the county Register of Deeds, making it part of the public record for future reference.

Additional Services Available:

• Sideline Staking: Property owners may request stakes to be set along the sidelines of the parcel for better boundary visibility, which can be beneficial for fencing, construction, or land division planning.

• Improvement Location Mapping: At the client’s request, improvements on the property—such as buildings, driveways, fences, and other visible features—can be located and shown on the certified drawing for added value and planning clarity.
